It is critical that pipes, ducts, and other components utilized in high-temperature environments receive proper thermal insulation. Ample insulation serves to keep utility costs low and reduce energy consumption. Insulation is one of the best means of restricting and controlling heat loss. It helps to keep heat and flames from leaking outwards and radiating away from the components it’s meant to be restricted to. Insulation can also be utilized over wires to stand up against environmental factors like water and heat more easily.

Applying even a thin layer of thermally insulating material to products like metal tubing, hoses, or ducting serves as a protection against extreme heat. Our proprietary RishonX thermal insulation material has operating temperature ranges that span from -170° F to as high as +850° F. In addition to insulation from heat, insulation from fire is becoming a more critical type of protection as well. Composite materials melt at much lower temperatures than the previous metals often used in firewalls, for example. RishonX material insulation has provided backside temperatures as low as 280° F throughout a 15-minute burn.
RishonX insulation material also shows no signs of deterioration following exposure to various chemical fluids. While other insulative materials may be damaged by or react negatively to common industrial chemicals, RishonX features beneficial chemical resistance properties that make it ideal for environments where chemical damage is a risk.

Insulation Utilizing RishonX Material

Different thicknesses also play a part in insulation’s effectiveness. Varying thicknesses provide different protections against various heat levels. For example: A 0.09” layer of RishonX material can withstand temperature drops as much as 600° F.
While insulation is most commonly utilized to control heat, it is often used for sound and vibration dampening as well. Our RishonX material can provide these effects as well.
Building Insulation Utilizing RishonX Material
Insulating buildings adequately can prove challenging, but experts have worked hard to make the process as straightforward and efficient as possible. Common insulation methods include slabs or blocks, blanket insulation, insulating boards, or reflective sheets, or loose fill.
